The event is organised by Saborea Espa\u00f1a and the Secretary of State for Tourism with Next Generation funds, with the collaboration of the Cabildo of La Palma and the public company Sodepal.<\/p><p>The Regional Minister for Economic Promotion and Trade and CEO of Sodepal, Miriam Perestelo, and the Regional Minister for Tourism, Raquel Rebollo, took part in the presentation of this conference at the Casa de Canarias in Madrid. Also present at the event were the president of Saborea Espa\u00f1a, Susi D\u00edaz; the president of the Association of Gastronomic Destinations, Blanca Jim\u00e9nez; the secretary general of the Spanish Hotel and Catering Industry, Emilio Gallego and the director general of Tourism Policies of the Secretary of State for Tourism, Ana Mu\u00f1oz Llabr\u00e9s.<\/p><p>Miriam Perestelo stressed the commitment of the current government team to promote the Saborea La Palma seal in order to publicise the quality and excellence of the products of La Palma, as well as the talent of its professionals, and highlighted the importance of gastronomy, especially in recent years, as part of the tourist experience offered by the island.<\/p><p>The Councillor for Tourism, Raquel Rebollo, emphasised the gastronomic, cultural and natural wealth of La Palma as key attractions of the destination that offer visitors an exclusive experience linked to the landscape, the local product and authenticity, and highlighted the coordinated work between departments of the Cabildo to promote the wide range of offerings that the island has to offer, with gastronomy playing a prominent role.<\/p><p>In this regard, the councillors stressed the essential role played by the island's primary sector in this area, given that the work and commitment of its professionals result in first-class products.<\/p><p>This is also an important opportunity to position the island as a gastronomic destination on a national and international level and to continue the work being carried out by the public company Sodepal, through Saborea La Palma, and by the Regional Ministry of Tourism to promote the island through the quality of its products, the talent of its professionals and the excellence of its preparations.<\/p><h4>An opportunity to diversify the gastronomic tourism offer<\/h4><p>The 3rd Slow Taste Enogastronomic Destinations Conference will allow us to diversify the gastronomic tourism offer and attract new profiles of national and international visitors interested in our gastronomy, culture and landscape in the most respectful way with the local communities.<\/p><p>This meeting is set to become a forum for dialogue, learning and connection between destinations, companies and institutions.
