This is the most important gastronomic event in Spain, and the island will be represented with a selection of its most important products, as well as chefs and restaurateurs.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The programme prepared by the public company Sodepal, through the Saborea La Palma project, financed by the island's Department of Tourism and which in this action also has the contribution of the Cabildo's Agriculture Department, includes both gastronomic preparations for the public attending the event and more visual actions linked to coffee, distillates and confectionery, which will be shown on a television set created for this purpose for online broadcasts.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Fish technique, banana confectionery born among volcanoes, honeys and goat's milk, organic coffee, distillates in movement or the gastronomy that feeds on citrus fruits, avocados and almonds are some of the proposals with which La Palma presents itself in Madrid.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The CEO of Sodepal and head of Economic Promotion on the island, Raquel D\u00edaz, said that \"Madrid Fusi\u00f3n has managed to readapt itself to remain the gastronomic fair of reference at a national level\", a new edition \"in which our island aims to consolidate itself as a tourist destination linked to our products, producers, restaurants and chefs\".<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Raquel D\u00edaz is convinced that \"La Palma has enough potential to attract gastronomic tourism, but the first thing is that we ourselves are capable of believing it\". In this sense, she stressed that \"our island will be perfectly represented in Madrid\".<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>For his part, the vice-president of the Cabildo of La Palma and councillor for Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries, Jos\u00e9 Adri\u00e1n Hern\u00e1ndez Montoya, stressed the importance of this event to continue promoting the importance of local, fresh, healthy and high quality produce, which \"is not only the raw material but the essence of our excellent gastronomy\".<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\"As a result of the hard work and effort of our farmers, stockbreeders and fishermen, La Palma has a first-class agri-food sector, with products such as our wines and cheeses whose renown goes beyond the borders of the archipelago, thanks to their uniqueness that makes them unique\", added the vice-president.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Hern\u00e1ndez Montoya would also like to give special recognition to the sector, which during the pandemic has been working tirelessly and, in many cases, readapting its activity to the new reality derived from the crisis, so that consumers could continue to enjoy local produce.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Cheese and wines, avocados, almonds, bananas, gofio, aromatic salts, olive oil, artisan beers, mojos, old potatoes, yams, sweet potatoes, rum and honey will be some of the products featured at Fusion.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The most important fair of the sector in Spain will take place between the 31st of May and the 2nd of June, with a strong representation from the island.
