By our very nature we merge in some way with the environment when we eat. In most cultures, eating has one basic function social. Around food, a set of rules, often very strict, that give meaning and identity to each group takes hold.
Therefore, as a way of projecting the essence of La Palma to tourism, the project "Saborea La Palma" (Taste La Palma) was born with the aim of to promote the economic, social and tourist development of the island through its gastronomy.
To this end, a series of actions and proposals are presented below, the common thread of which is the gastronomy of La Palma, not only in terms of catering but also in terms of the origin of the product.
