Palmeran products to be promoted at the 9th Canary Islands Gastronomy Fair

The CEO of Sodepal, Miriam Perestelo, highlights the importance of participating in this key regional meeting for the gastronomic sector.

Food companies from La Palma will be promoted at the 9th Salón Gastronómico de Canarias, which will be held at the Tenerife Trade Fair Centre from 21st to 23rd May. The public company Sodepal, through the Saborea La Palma project, is in charge of supporting these companies participating in this new edition.

The CEO of Sodepal, Miriam Perestelo, highlights the importance for the sector of participating in this important regional event that brings together the best of the Canary Islands' gastronomic world.

"From Saborea La Palma we continue to support the talent of our professionals, as well as the promotion of our products, which are of the highest quality and which combine the efforts of the primary sector and the quality of our professionals, resulting in excellent products that can now be tasted at this event", says Perestelo.

Specifically, there will be several exhibitors from the island, including Vida Viva Ecofood, Bruco La Palma, Palmojo and Delicias de la Huerta.

In addition, the project will have a varied agenda of activities, starting on Tuesday, 21 May, with an event led by Olicafé, at 11:30 a.m., with a coffee tasting. Later, at 12:00, Veganorte will lead a sensory journey through the Isla Bonita with a tasting of exclusive wines. On the same day, at 15:00, Tagalguén will present tradition, environmental commitment and quality wines in another exclusive tasting. The day will end at 17:30 with a distillery workshop by Ron Aldea.

On Wednesday, 22 May, Palmojo will present La Palma Universe of Flavours, at 11:30 a.m., followed by Avapal, at 1:45 p.m., with a showcooking presentation of a dish of Palmero beef. At 15:30 hours, the El Casino Restaurant will be presenting La Alegre Vida Palmerafollowed by another tasting of exclusive Veganorte wines at 16:45.

The day will close with another distillery workshop and a presentation of rums, at 18:00, by Ron Aldea.

Thursday, 23 May, will begin with a tasting of products by Vidaviva Ecofood, at 11:30 am. Delicias de La Huerta will then present the Gluten-Free Bienmesabe and a tasting of pickles at 13:45. This will be followed by the presentation and tasting of a Mojo Palmero mojo by Mojos Sicilia at 2.30 p.m. and then Bruco will present the Mojos Bruvic Gourmet and a tasting of specialities at 3.30 p.m. The last day will conclude with another distillery workshop and a tasting of exclusive Veganorte wines at 16:45.
