Distillery SLUis a public companypromoted by the Town Council of Breña Alta. It is the first Special Employment Centre which was created on the island of La Palmain September 1998. It started out with a single activity related to tobacco. Nowadays there are many more that complete its range of services.

Throughout its short history, it has been the recipient of different badges and awardsin recognition of his social work. Among them, we can highlight, the Gold Medal for Merit in Social Matters by the Government of the Canary Islands (2003).The important collaboration that the municipality of Breña Alta has enjoyed with this organisation, with a view to achieving the Queen Sofia Accessibility Award for municipalities with less than 10,000 inhabitants (year 2005); in 2007, he obtained the Sustainable Management" Prize awarded by the World Biosphere Reserve and the Chamber of Commerce La Palmaand in 2012, it was awarded the Joven Canarias 2012" Prize, awarded by the Government of the Canary Islands. through the Regional Ministry of the Presidency, Justice and Equality and its Directorate General for Youth

The Destiladera S.L. Special Employment Centre. operates throughout the island of La Palma, and works with the entire group of people with disabilities on the island, either in the Employment Exchange or in the centre itself, but prioritising the group of people with intellectual disabilities.

The main purpose of our entity has been and is:

  • Improving the Quality of Life of People with Disabilities.
  • Promote the social and labour insertion of people with disabilities.
