31 May La Palma products are promoted at the Salimat Abanca Fair in Galicia
The CEO of Sodepal, Miriam Perestelo, highlights the commitment and effort of the professionals and the gastronomic talent that the island possesses.
The Cabildo de La Palma, through the Saborea La Palma project of the public company Sodepal, is promoting the island's products at the Atlantic Food Fair, Salimat Abanca, which is being held in Galicia from 30 May to 2 June.
The CEO of Sodepal, Miriam Perestelo, stresses that "La Palma has first class products, something that we achieve thanks to the close and necessary collaboration between the primary sector of our island, which generates products of great wealth thanks to the continuous work, commitment and efforts of our professionals and the gastronomic talent of other entities and companies that turn this raw material into products that make the difference".
In this sense, Miriam Perestelo indicates that this new meeting between professionals of the sector is fundamental to continue promoting the gastronomy of La Palma, which is an important tourist attraction.
The Minister of Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries, Animal Welfare and Food Sovereignty, Alberto Paz, will be present at this exhibition in which La Palma will be represented by 12 entities linked to the island's gastronomy.
La Palma will be represented in the gastro area by the following organisations: Criadores de Cabra Palmera, Mojos Regina, Veganorte, Palmojo, Mojos Sicilia, Mojos Virginia, Ron Aldea, Delicias de la Huerta, Cerveza Isla Verde, Salinas de Teneguía, Piedra Jurada and Central Hortofrutícola.
On the other hand, in the tourist area, two tourism and gastronomic projects that reflect the spirit of sustainability and authenticity of La Palma will stand out, such as Ecofinca Tacande, an ecological space that combines agricultural production with unique tourist experiences, and Vino y Tierra, an initiative that fuses viticulture with tourism, offering immersive oenological experiences.
In addition, during the fair, Saborea La Palma will make a presentation of the destination to 34 tour operators with the aim of promoting the island as a first-class tourist and gastronomic destination. This presentation will be an opportunity to showcase the diversity and quality of La Palma's products, as well as the unique experiences that La Palma offers its visitors.
