He has just opened El Baifo, a street food concept in Santa Cruz de La Palma, after consolidating La Gatera as a reference point on the beautiful island.

For lovers of good food, and as in all areas, there are times when the train passes and it is obligatory to catch it. In this case, the occasion is to try the interesting cuisine of Mariana Hernández, 2022 finalist for the Best Chef of the Canary Islands, which will be decided in September.

At the moment, we can enjoy it at the Summer Nights at the Chiringuito Tropical, in Playa Blanca. That meeting point of Luis Benito in the eternal summer of the south. It will be on Thursday, the 21st and we already know the proposals that the young chef will bring to the Chiringuito.

The gastronomic feast will start with a Croqueta de lapas with salmorejo palmero and Ensaladilla de boniato de Fuencaliente y peto ahumado de La Gomera (sweet potato salad from Fuencaliente and smoked wahoo from La Gomera). These starters will be followed by Lasaña de gambas al kimchi y bechamel de coco, as a fish dish, and Recuerdos de Garafía, as a meat dish. The finishing touch will be the Príncipe Alberto 2020, as served at La Gatera, his restaurant in Breña Alta, La Palma.
